Hatha Yoga Class

In this busy world it is hard to take time out for ourselves. I guarantee after one yoga session you will leave the class feeling better. A yoga session gives you time to reconnect to your body, to feel and to sometimes challenge.

Yoga Generation - Hatha Yoga

We start the class with some breathing work, just to find our own natural rhythm, to breathe deeply and efficiently as ultimately how we breathe affects how we feel and vice versa. It is important to be mindful of the breath throughout the class in order to stay fully connected to our bodies and perhaps notice when we are being too competitive with ourselves. It also helps us to be more ‘present’ to try and stop the internal chattering in our heads.

Yoga postures are designed to lengthen and strengthen our muscles in a gentle and compassionate way. Firstly, we must be kind to ourselves and our bodies will accept our efforts, so no pushing, pulling or straining only encouraging. Our bodies are designed so well that we can work with its natural rhythms, by creating space within and releasing into it. By employing different postures we help our bodies work more efficiently both inside and out.

From the working body to the resting body; there is always time for some relaxation at the end of class, a time to completely let go, mentally and physically.
